2. CHECK THE DETAILS

Does that item have the right neck-line for you? Does it come in the right length for your height? What about the fabric. Does it give you the right structure to either camouflaging or accent your assets? What about patterns, are they complimentary to your figure and in scale with your size?

No? Then move along. When you put a garment on, it has to be fabulous or nothing. If you have to wonder “does look OK on me?” then honestly, it’s not for you.

Your top and bottom half are likely going to be different sizes for that perfect fit. Hold up the clothes and give them a good look before committing to the change room. You can usually see what’s going to fit you.

If you can’t sit down in it, if it pinches your feet after an hour of walking, if the buttons are pulling and if it’s too tight across the shoulders then reality check – it’s not your size and you won’t look, or feel good in it. This means you're not going to wear it.

Repeat after me: “Label size doesn’t matter” What matters is looking good. Think of the small cost of alterations as part of having style. You’re so worth it! Buy your clothing to fit the largest parts of you properly and then have the rest altered to fit you properly.
